For access, deletion, and correction requests, we may verify your identity by matching information you provide against our records. We request additional information only where reasonably necessary.

You do not need to create an account to make a request. Requests to opt out of sale or sharing do not require identity verification.

You may use an authorized agent. Where permitted, we may request proof of authorization or ask you to verify your identity or confirm the agent’s authority directly. Applicable powers of attorney are handled in accordance with law.

We acknowledge requests to know, delete, or correct within 10 business days and generally respond within 45 calendar days. If a permitted extension is needed, we explain the reason and additional time required.

We process sale/sharing opt-outs and applicable sensitive-information limitations as soon as feasibly possible, within the legally required period. If we cannot fulfill a request, we explain the reason, subject to legal restrictions.

Global Privacy Control

We honor qualifying browser opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), as requests to opt out of sale or sharing.

A signal applies to the browser or device and, where associated with an identifiable account or profile, to related information as required by law. If we cannot connect your browser to other information we hold, you may contact us to apply your request to those records.

We preserve applicable opt-out preferences. The absence of a signal on a later visit does not, by itself, reverse an established opt-out. Where required, we wait at least 12 months before asking you to opt back into sale or sharing.

Requests are generally free. We may seek proportionate identity verification and apply exceptions permitted by law.

You may lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority, particularly in the country of your habitual residence, workplace, or the alleged infringement. You do not have to contact us before doing so.

9. Information processed in the United States

Lin Engineering is based in the United States, and personal information is processed in the United States in connection with our operations and service providers.

Privacy laws in the United States may differ from those in your country. Visiting our website does not, by itself, constitute consent to an international transfer of personal data.

We may continue to send communications necessary to respond to your requests, fulfill orders, maintain accounts, or meet legal obligations.

Email preferences and website tracking preferences are separate. Use the website’s privacy controls to manage optional tracking and advertising-related sharing.

13. Children’s privacy

Our website and products are intended for business customers and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 or knowingly sell or share their personal information.
