CAD Designer

Job Responsibilities:

1. Process engineering changes.
2. Update drawings based on engineering changes.
3. Generate new designs based on customer inputs such as drawings and sketches.
4. Perform failure analysis on returned goods and make design improvement recommendations.

Functional Relationship:
Reports to engineering manager in the performance of duties, but will also provide support to other departments as required.

Qualifications:
1. 2 years minimum work experience using Autocad and 3d modeling.
2. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Good working knowledge of Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning.
4. Must be able to apply SPC to design for manufacturing.
5. Must be able to manage multiple projects.
6. General knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection.

Education:
Minimum AS in a design related major, working toward 4 year engineering degree.

And here's our expectations on you:

In 90 days, you will fully process engineering changes and understand tolerances required for assembly of a step motor. In one year, you will have basic understanding of how a step motor functions and generate new designs under direction of Engineering Manager and Chief Engineer. And by the second year, you will generate new designs individually.
