Sales Account Manager

You will work with a team of several other account managers and some sales application engineers, directly reporting to the Sales Director.

Your goals:
• Secures profitable bookings (measured by achieving revenue and profit goals);
• Ensures customer satisfaction by understanding customer needs, helping customers solve their problems and making their lives easier (measured by response time, order entry accuracy, number of RMA and customer complaints);
• And increases Design Wins (measured by number of motors qualified and replacing competitors).


Your requirements:
• Associate's degree minimum.

• Computer savvy: proficiency in MS Office suite preferred.

Manufacturing Engineer


Are you a person who can perform as a Manufacturing Engineer, likes to do Manufacturing Engineering, and has the ability to lead and influence others?

Are you a person who strives to find the root cause of a problem and gets satisfaction implementing the solution?

If you answer yes to all three questions, come join our manufacturing team at Lin Engineering, Inc. Lin Engineering is a step motor manufacturer targeting $20 million sales and about 100 employees. We sell our distinguished products all around the world in application for medical, automation, surveillance, military, and aerospace. We are currently located in Santa Clara, CA with a plan to move to Morgan Hill, CA in June 2010. Our real business is solving problems for our customers.

Your goals:
• Contribute to the cost reduction initiative on the manufacturing processes.
• Contribute to the reduction of the manufacturing cycle time, increasing capability for product shipment.
• Contribute to the reduction of RMA as well as scrap and rework.
• Lead new product/process development.


Your responsibilities:
• Become an expert on step motors, theory and assembly.
• Conduct experimentation and report results to drive change.
• Read and interpret design print and implement fixtures for ease of manufacturing.
• Conduct Failure Analysis and recommend corrective action for returned units (RMA).
• Lead Continuous Improvement Team, with the goal maintaining a 95% success of closure on open items.


Your requirements:
• BS in Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in high mix, low and high volume and customized product environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in implementing Lean Concepts and 7 wastes.
• Fluent in Quality tools such as SPC and Cpk/Ppk.
• Fluent in DOE, experience with FMEA thermal and Stress analysis.
• Experience in Machining practices.
• Computer skills: Excel – expert, MS office - proficient.


Additional Experiences:
• Develop and coach others.
• Experience with the design of bearings, greases, gearboxes, encoders, and electrical test equipment.
• Know how to use measuring tools (micrometer, calipers, etc).

Accountant - Accounts Payable

If you answer yes to all three questions, come join our accounting team at Lin Engineering, Inc. Lin Engineering is a step motor manufacturer with about $20 million sales and 100 employees. We sell our distinguished products all around the world.

The accounting department is led by the CFO who is a CPA with two master degrees and over 10 years experience. You will be under the CFO’s supervision and report directly to the CFO.


Your goals:
• Pay bills within reasonable time: Run check runs every Friday; Process wire transfers every other Wednesday; Process Payroll checks every other Wednesday; Take cash discount whenever it’s offered by suppliers.
• Maintain average payment time at >60 days.
• Maintain petty cash <$500 and enter petty cash transactions quarterly.


Your responsibilities:
• Enter vouchers with correct quantity and unit price; assign proper account numbers.
• Resolve issues and clear hold when supplier put our account on credit hold.
• Maintain purchase price variance account at $0 balance.
• Maintain prepaid invoices account to ensure prepaid invoices are current and all receipts are applied to prepayment properly.
• Maintain receiving accrual account to ensure all receipts are eligible by request invoices from suppliers and verify receipts with purchasing department.
• Prepare credit card expense report.
• prepare commission report


Your requirements:
• AA accounting degree minimum.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and accuracy: no double pay; no late fee; no bank overdraft; no repeated errors.
• Computer skill: Excel – Intermediate; MS outlook; 10 key by touch, 40 numbers per minute.
• Experience: At least some entry level accounting experience.
