Lin Engineering Designer's Corner User Agreement Lin Engineering is a designer and manufacturer of step motor solutions for a variety of markets. Some customers solicit the services of Lin Engineering for different classifications: (1) Design and Manufacturing; (2) Contract Design; and (3) Contract Manufacturing. Design and Manufacturing; Contract Design Under any arrangement where Lin Engineering serves as the designer, the design is considered proprietary and the property of Lin Engineering and will be designated in writing as "Lin Engineering Confidential." This agreement includes, but is not limited to, component drawings, sub-assembly drawings and complete assembly drawings. Any Non Recurring Engineering Fees are associated to the Engineering time and not to any right of the design. This design cannot be disclosed, copied, or distributed to any third party without the written consent of Lin Engineering. Lin Engineering will not share or distribute the design to a third party without written consent from the Customer. Contract Manufacturing Under the arrangement where Lin Engineering serves as a Contract Manufacturer, the customer would provide Lin Engineering a complete design to build to. This would include, but is not limited to, the bill of materials, assembly prints, drawings, sample components, and the like. The design that the customer provides to Lin Engineering will not be shared or distributed to a third party without the written consent of the owner of the design. This site and the content provided in this site may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without the written consent of Lin Engineering. Lin Engineering grants permission to use this site within the terms and services of this user agreement. This site may be used to make legitimate inquiries and evaluations on Lin Engineering products and shall not be used for any other purposes. The process for motor selection is patent pending, and the user agrees not to reverse engineer the process.
