Lin Engineering is pleased to release the SilverPak 17C. This new version of the SilverPak 17C comes with added features such as higher step resolution and more output current to benefit the user.

The SilverPak 17C, integrated step motor + driver + controller, is available in three body lengths: 2.69”, 2.92” and 3.24” and is capable of up to 85 oz-in of holding torque depending on the stack size of the motor.

The SilverPak C17 is now capable of up to 2 Amps Peak of output current and can reach speeds of 2.5MHz. Some of the fully programmable features include but are not limited to: stand alone operation with no connection to a PC; ability to daisy chain up to 16 SilverPak 17C units; fully programmable ramps and speeds; software selectable hold and move currents; up to 256x microstepping resolution settings; bipolar control; two user configurable digital I/O’s; and two dedicated inputs – one optical sensor for homing and one switch closure to ground. Commands can be issued from the Windows® HyperTerminal® program, which is widely available or from the SilverPak 17C Windows® application. The commands are intuitive yet simple and can be preset to execute upon power up.
