Introducing the Patent Pending Signature Series from Lin Engineering

Santa Clara, CA—December 2008 — Lin Engineering, the Step Motor Specialists, are pleased to introduce the new, patent pending Signature Series.  This revolutionary line of step motors is not only cost effective but also provides the ultimate precision and smooth motion.  The Signature Series Technology is currently available with our 3709V and 417 motor series.

3709V:  Available with 7 Mounting Options
This 0.9 degree step motor allows customers to choose from seven different mounting options in order to fit their specific application.  The mounting options are available in both the NEMA 14 and NEMA 17 frames sizes.  The 3709V is only 0.82 inches thick and 1.44 inches squared while weighing in at a mere 0.27 lbs.  Various motor windings are available with the maximum holding torque of up to 16 oz-in.

417: Available in 4 Lengths
This 0.9º NEMA 17 stepper motor is available in four lengths: 0.92”, 1.10”, 1.38” and 1.54”. The 417 line is capable of holding torque that ranges from 12 oz-in to 30 oz-in, depending on the length of the motor.  Numerous and custom bipolar windings are available, at no extra cost, in order to allow for the torque and speed required to accommodate your application.

With the embedded Signature Series technology, the 3709V and 417 series are ideal for microstepping control and recommended wherever accuracy and resonance might be an issue.  Some specific examples where you may need a high accuracy motor include but are not limited to the following applications: automation, medical pumps, printing, semiconductor, and surveillance cameras.
